Welcome to the KSP 330 Fall 2011 wiki. This site will serve a number of purposes; some immediate and some long term. Mainly, it is to show you one way in which you can incorporate this technology into your K-12 Classroom and create hybrid/online classes of your own.

Another important use of this site is a calendar that you'll be editing in order to indicate when we I should come to observe you in your field experience. In order to schedule a time you'll click on the Calendar Link specific to your course and once into the page click on "edit" at the top right corner of the page in order to type within the boxes given with your name, room number and time(s) that I can stop in to evaluate you during your time.

The third set of links on this page are to pages that you have the freedom to develop as you choose. Notice that they are divided by content area. These can be used to pool resources for shared use. You can upload documents (WORD, PDF, Powerpoint Presentations, RIch Text), embed videos, share spreadsheets etc. As many of you know, access to your files on D2L will be lost upon graduation. The collective nature of that resource will be gone. Given this site and your common membership, if you have projects, lesson plan templates, shared curricula or other ideas you want to share with one another in and outside of your content areas OR if you want to stay in touch with certain individuals from your Education Experiences at MSU and generate ongoing professional growth discussions please feel free to use this site as a common place to do so. Your best resources will forever be the people with whom you have relationships.
...
I will remain an administrator of this site so long as it serves our purpose of classwork and scheduling observations. Upon the closure of this course I will ask a few of you to take point and build on what is started. Let me know if you have any questions. Wikis are GREAT free tools to give your K-12 Students a jump-start into the online and interactive interfaces that will be required of them in Higher Education. Consider this introduction a preview of what you might fully be able to do later on. There are many elementary and secondary classes that are currently using wikis as the sole mode of homework submission, class discussion and project development. Google these possibilities and be amazed.
